They are like a "cool" hippie commune of musicians, not like those stinky Magnetic Zeros who look like they all smell like the flea market. Broken Social Scene gives of the vibe of "we take showers" to me.

B thinks - Been a fan for awhile. This may be my favorite song of 2010.

Cliff thinks - I would tell you what I think if this song didn't make me fall asleep. Does it really take 80 musicians to make a song that sounds like two drunken middle aged women making music in a small studio in northeastern Maine?

Verdict - Good. But Not Very Dynamic.

The Arcade Fire

He says: One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite bands. This is everything that is right about music right now.

B says: One of the best songs i've ever heard. The real video is better though

Verdict: You should already own this song if you're reading this blog.

Broken Bells

Cliff says: Indie rock goes pop - and it works. One of the best musical collaborations in recent memory.

B says: The music doesn't get me excited enough; it gets me to about 80% and just leaves me hanging there. I don't own this album and probably wont buy it.... BUT at least I don't hate it.

Verdict:  Solid. Not mind-blowing.

Artist: The Radio Department

Song: It's Personal

What B Thinks: Best band I've stumbled across in a very long time. Makes me excited to find more.

What Cliff Thinks: Sounds like the type of music I would make if given the money and the time to get in a studio. 

Verdict: Buy it, Stream it, Download it, Steal it, Cop it, Tape if off the radio....just get it.

The Black Keys

Cliff says: My favorite band from 2010.

B says: I HATE IT! Cliff is right though, if you like trendy disposable music then you should definitely buy this.

Verdict: B is smoking crack. Sometimes it takes him a while to come around (see: MIA). Buy this album.

She & Him

Cliff Says: Pair Zoey Deschanel with one of indie rock's greatest artists and I'm gonna be a fan. Actually, pair Zoey with anyone and I'll be a fan. But, I digress.

B Says: I hate it.

Verdict: Hot singer = great band.

Jenny and Johnny

Cliff says: One of the best albums this year. Super fun. Great song. Even better in the summer.

B says: Jenny & Johnny? Matt & Kim? SHE & HIM??? Lets start getting creative people. By the way I HATE all of it. But, Jenny & Johnny is the most tolerable... barely.
